Seattle Massage Parlors: Massage parlor owner sentenced to two years in prison
Massage parlor owner sentenced to two years in prison
A California man accused of running a string of Seattle-area prostitution fronts was sentenced Wednesday to a two-year prison term.
Federal prosecutors alleged that Jesus “Jesse” Deleon, 47, and several others ran a string of massage parlors and tanning salons that operated as brothels. A second defendant, Donald Kerry Frey, was previously sentenced to a similar prison term.
Frey and Deleon, according to a U.S. Justice Department statement, hired women who were recruited from other other states to work at facilities in Renton, Seattle and Tukwila. Both men picked up cash payments of $25,000 or more from the fronts.
Kenneth Hines, IRS Special Agent in Charge for Seattle, said the prosecution should serve as a warning to those operating such businesses.
