EVERETT — Three people have been arrested for allegedly promoting the sexual exploitation of a 16-year-old Everett girl.
Vice squad detectives from the Seattle Police Department posed as customers and contacted the girl, a runaway, Tuesday night, officials said.
One of the adults, a 25-year-old Everett resident, was booked into the King County Jail on suspicion of promoting the commercial sexual abuse of a minor.
The investigation led to the arrest of two Seattle-area men at an Everett apartment. The men, both 30, were booked into the King County Jail for investigation of promoting prostitution of a minor.
Detectives obtained a search warrant for the Everett apartment and are investigating leads about people who may have engaged in prostitution with the teen, Seattle police said in a press release.
However, officials said all suspects involved in the promotion of prostitution of the girl are in custody.
