Seattle Escorts: Acclaimed New York director to replace Sher at Intiman

Presently a lecturer in theater and dance at Princeton’s Lewis Center for the Arts, Whoriskey is probably best known for staging the plays of African American playwright Lynn Nottage. Nottage’s Pulitzer Prize-winning “Ruined,” which opened to raves at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago last fall, is now running off Broadway at the Manhattan Theatre Club.
Whoriskey said she intends to bring “Ruined” to Intiman if the details can be worked out. The play is about a shrewd brothel owner in a Congolese mining town who manages to accommodate clientele from both factions in a bitter civil war on the assumption that survival is only guaranteed those who don’t take sides. The larger issues of appeasement and conscious non-involvement speak to Whoriskey’s political nature, but she cautions about reading too much into that.
