Seattle Adult Entertainment: Judge convicted of paying for sex
TACOMA, Wash., Oct. 29 (UPI) — A Washington state judge has been convicted of felony harassment and of buying the services of a male prostitute.
Michael Andrew Hecht was found guilty Wednesday after a six-day jury trial, The Tacoma News Tribune reported. After the verdict, he denied any wrongdoing and said he had been set up by Morgan Armijo, a private detective, and that the News Tribune contributed to what he called “the creation of this ridiculous story.”
“I say to the jurors they were duped, and I thank them for their consideration in the matter,” Hecht said.
Hecht defeated Armijo’s father, Sergio, a longtime judge, last year. But Armijo denied any “vendetta,” saying he decided he should make information he had learned public because Hecht is a judge.
Armijo said police did a thorough investigation, talking to witnesses who did not know him or anything about him.
