In December 1996, Roberta Elmore was hired by an escort service. Elmore went on her first call to the home of Dennis Robertson, a quadriplegic man who shared his home with two other disabled gentlemen. But after a misunderstanding as to what was expected of her, Elmore left Robertson’s home and the escort service forced Elmore to return Robertson’s payment and fired her. Elmore expressed anger to various friends about the incident and reportedly enlisted Gordon Crockett and Thorsten Jerde to rob the Robertson residence, giving them details about the location of the safe she had seen in the bedroom and showing them where Robertson lived. In addition, Elmore reportedly gave Crockett and Jerde bullets for the gun that they planned to use during the robbery.

The Daily Herald reports that Everett Municipal Court Judge Timothy O’Dell approved a deal between Everett prosecutors and the 21-year-old Kirkland woman that would drop the charges if she promised to stay out of trouble for two years.
If she fails, she could face prosecution in municipal court for violating the adult entertainment ordinance.
The woman also agreed to testify against four other Grab-n-Go baristas charged last year with prostitution and violating city ordinances. Similar plea deals are expected for all but one who has indicated she plans to go to trial.

Prosecutors dropped two prostitution charges, and if she stays out of trouble, other charges will be dismissed.
EVERETT — A former Everett bikini barista accused of selling sex at a Grab-n-Go espresso stand vowed Thursday morning to stay out of trouble so she can avoid spending time behind bars.
City prosecutors agreed to stay action in the woman’s case for two years. In return, the Kirkland woman, 21, must not commit any new crimes or violate the city’s adult entertainment ordinance.
If she complies with those terms, the city will dismiss two misdemeanor charges against the woman, including operating without an adult entertainment license and violating the standards of conduct of the ordinance.
As part of the agreement, city prosecutors on Thursday dropped two prostitution charges against the woman.

At issue are allegations that the strip clubs — Rick’s in Lake City, Sugar’s in Shoreline, Honey’s in Everett and Fox’s in Parkland — were used as fronts for prostitution that allegedly garnered the men $25 million in the preceding four years.

Key to the prosecutors’ case, according to court documents, is the payment scheme in which strippers paid $75 to $130 in daily “rent” to the Colacurcio businesses. Such an arrangement is common in Washington strip clubs, which are not allowed to sell liquor to generate profit.
