Seattle Massage Parlors: Guilty verdict in slaying of Kent mother

Friends of the slain woman told detectives she was afraid of a man named “Randy” — who police determined to be Connor, an ex-convict who had participated in a prison riot while serving time in California.
Connor and Lorentson had been dating off and on since 2005, according to court documents. Connor’s family told investigators they had broken up shortly before she was killed.
Lorentson told a friend that Connor had handcuffed and assaulted her, and asked her friend to call the police if she fell out of touch ” ’cause that means something is wrong.”
Ultimately, though, it was a series of phone records obtained with search warrants helped prove Connor was at Lorentson’s home the night she was killed.
Connor denied being at Lorentson’s apartment, claiming he’d spent the evening at a Seattle erotic massage parlor. But, according to prosecutors, Connor’s cell phone had connected with cell towers near the woman’s home around the time she was killed.

‘Acts of Healing’
The 7 p.m. event is part of the center’s “Acts of Healing” series, a response to its current exhibition “Outbreak!”
That show, which stays up through March 13, is an array of paintings by Bryn Barnard depicting plagues and diseases that changed history.
“Outbreak!” could use an antidote, believes the arts center’s director, Jake Seniuk.
He brought in sound healer Vickie Dodd and didgeridoo player-“sound massage parlor” practitioner Stuart Dempster last month.

Two charged in Seattle massage parlor sting
Two people arrested in connection with a North Seattle massage parlor have been charged with promoting prostitution.
In charging documents, King County prosecutors contend Vinh T. Nguyen, 37, and Thu L. Truong, 41, were selling sex from a massage parlor in the 9500 block of Aurora Avenue North.
According to court papers, Seattle vice officers conducted a sting at Bayside Massage on Nov. 16.
During the visit, Truong, co-owner of the massage parlor, offered to perform a sex act with the detective for money, according to charging documents. Detectives returned days later and allegedly were offered sex from another woman working at the parlor.
Further investigation revealed that Nguyen, who owns the business with Truong, had been advertising the business on an adult website, a Seattle detective told the court.

Seattle police raid, then run massage parlor

Earlier this month, Seattle officers raided a Rainier Avenue South massage parlor then continued to operate it for a day, offering would-be customers a decidedly unhappy ending.

From June through September, Seattle vice detectives conducted five undercover operations at the massage parlor, located at 4204 Rainier Ave. S. In each case, according to court documents, women there offered to touch the undercover detectives sexually for a fee.
In one instance, a vice detective arrived at the massage parlor and was asked by Wei if he would like a “full body massage,” according to charging documents. The detective agreed and was led to a room where, for $40, he “received a terrible massage” from a woman who then asked for an addition $60 for a more intimate treatment.
