SIEM REAP, Cambodia — Sitting out the intense political battle back home, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton toured Cambodia’s famed 12th-century Angkor Wat temple complex on Sunday and pledged to do more to help end the scourge of sexual slavery on a visit to a rehabilitation center for child prostitutes.

Village Theatre’s ‘The Full Monty,’ while great fun, is for adults only
It’s difficult not to shout “Hats off to the Village Theatre” for this rowdy, ribald, hilarious production of “The Full Monty,” which opens tonight at the Everett Performing Arts Center.
But keep the hats on, please.
The musical by Terrence McNally is based on the 1997 British film about unemployed steel workers seeking a way to make some quick money and patch up their personal lives. Although the film’s story was set to music in 2000, it’s pertinent today as the beefy Buffalo factory workers have all hit, uh, bottom in a sagging economy.
Jerry and his friend Dave hatch a scheme to become male strippers when they spy on the women in their lives tucking in handfuls of cash at a Chippendale-style club.

Sterling Terrance Hospedales, Army Sergeant, Sentenced to 11 Years for Pimping Out Teenage Girls
It all started when federal investigators noticed a 17-year-old runaway girl from Seattle posting ads soliciting sex on Craigslist. It didn’t take them long after that to determine that there was another, even younger, teenage girl doing the same thing and that Sgt. Sterling Terrance Hospedales was behind it all as a part time pimp and a full time scumbag.
Hospedales’ day job was as an infantryman with the 4th Stryker Brigade at the Ft. Lewis Army Base, where he’d been since 2005. It was between his duties on the base that the 27-year-old met the first 17-year-old victim in Seattle. Later, he met a 16-year-old from Wyoming on MySpace, who he bought a plane ticket for so she could come to Washington specifically to work for him.

TACOMA, Wash. – A sergeant at Joint Base Lewis-McChord has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for pimping two teenage girls, who allegedly traded sex for money under his direction and control.
Sgt. Sterling Terrance Hospedales, 27, will also have seven years of supervised release.
While handing down the sentence, Judge Benjamin Settle told Hospedales he brought disgrace to the uniform.
“You elected to go down a road of service to a country that adopted you, but you also chose a very dark road to go down,” Settle said. “Whatever sentence I give you won’t heal the scars your actions imposed upon these victims.”

The two told officers that Hospedales was their pimp, and that he took naked pictures of them and posted them on the Internet. They also said that Hospedales had flown one of the girls to Seattle from Wyoming, charging papers say.

Move over Juan Williams, the Seattle Times reports there are new targets for political correctness around here. Justice Richard Sanders and Justice James Johnson both stated recently that they disagreed with the idea that statistical disparity proved racism or racial prejudice, and observed that a possible reason statistics show that while African Americans are 4 percent of the state’s population but 20 percent of prison inmates is because members of that minority group may have committed more crimes. According to the headline in the Times, this left the audience “stunned,” some were even “offended”, and some became even more offended (and apparently confused) because Justice Johnson used the term “poverty pimp” during the discussion. And then there’s an assertion that the words “you people” were heard– which means nothing racist unless it was intended to be used in such a manner, so in this case it just serves as an attempted smear on the justices.
The fact that no one knew what “poverty pimp” mean …

A convicted murderer has been found guilty of raping a woman in her 20s five weeks before he strangled a transsexual prostitute.
Neil McMillan, 43, killed Andrea Waddell, 29, in Brighton last October before setting fire to her body.
He was jailed for life with a minimum term of 22 years at Lewes Crown Court in June after being convicted of the crime.
On Tuesday, McMillan was found guilty of raping a woman in Brighton five weeks before by Old Bailey jurors – who were not told about the murder.
After McMillan’s previous convictions were revealed, Judge Stephen Kramer told them: “Don’t feel you have been deprived of important information that would have assisted you.

The court heard that McMillan, originally from Dumfriesshire, spent more than £100 an hour on prostitutes in Brighton whom he contacted through websites, and arranged to pay £140 for an hour to visit Ms Waddell before killing her.
